EARG runs a set of complementary programs designed to develop early-career researchers and deliver applied research that benefits communities and clients. Our core programs include the one-year Mentorship Fellowship, short courses and technical trainings, applied community research placements, and a scholarship program for postgraduate advancement. Each program emphasizes practical skills, ethics, and measurable outcomes.
EARG Fellowship
A one-year, mentor-led fellowship combining intensive coursework and supervised placements on real projects. Fellows gain practical field experience, scientific writing skills and support for postgraduate applications.
Modular short courses covering research design, statistics, data management, GIS basics, lab techniques (as needed), ethical research, and grant writing. Courses are available to fellows, university students and partner staff.
EARG allocates consultancy revenue to a scholarship fund that supports at least five fellows annually with full or partial funding for postgraduate study. Scholarships cover tuition and research costs based on merit and need.
